Issue

  • Symptom 1

Transition operation fails with the following blocking error:

01032: Communication problem occurred. [ Error ]
> Timeout occurred while communicating with Cluster-Mode storage system '<IP Address >'.
> CORRECTIVE-ACTION: Check your network configuration, correct the problem and re-run the operations.

  • Symptom 2

Wizard fails with the following error while providing cluster details:

Step: Select target cluster
===========================
Enter the FQDN or management IP address of the cluster: <IP Address >
Enter the administrative user-name for the cluster <IP Address > [admin]:
Enter the password for 'admin@<IP Address >':
ERROR: Host '<IP Address >' timed out.

  • Symptom 3

7-Mode Transition Tool>transition credentials add -h <IP Address > -u admin
Enter password for 'admin@<IP Address >':

Error (31009) : Host '<IP Address >' timed out .
