Operation not Supported error on RHEL when setting NFSv4 access control list (ACL)

Issue

  • When attempting to set ACLs on a NFSv4 volume with the setfacl cmd from a RHEL 5 client, the following error is displayed:
    • Operation not supported
  • While Network File System(NFS) clients set nfsv4 ACL on files, the following error is displayed:
    • Failed setxattr operation: Invalid argument
