This article describes the procedure to access files from both Windows/CIFS and UNIX/NFS user accounts.

UNIX and Windows names are the same. How to properly synchronize UNIX and NT permissions.

The UNIX owner of the file (as listed in the ls -l command output) cannot manipulate the file unless 'Everyone-Modify' is set from the Windows NT side.
