How to restart the NDE process if NDE or scale failed?

Answer
- Access NodeUI (
https://<Node MIP>:442
) - Click "System Utilities" tab and input following under "Restart Services"
- Service: sf-nde
- Action: restart
In versions 1.7 and above, NDE can be re-run without a manual restart.
Additional Information
For some scenarios it does not work, take one of the following approaches:
- Perform NDE Scale on another storage node (go to any storage node’s MIP)
- Wait 72 hours for Scale to reset and then re-run it from any storage node
- Contact NetApp support, who can apply a patch for this issue
- (for new installations) deploy with HCI version 1.7 or above
