How to add a compute node into a VDS-enabled HCI cluster when Easy Scale fails with an EVC error

Description
When attempting to add a net-new or replacement compute node into an HCI cluster, the Easy Scale function of the NetApp Deployment Engine (NDE) fails to add the node and generates the error below:
