EMC Isilon SSH data collector displays "Traceback" as Model in Data Infrastructure Insights after OneFS upgrade to 9.x

Issue

  • Data Infrastructure Insights EMC Isilon SSH Data collector fails to report EMC Isilon Array model.
  • After upgrading Dell EMC Isilon (PowerScale) clusters to OneFS 9.x, the SSH-based Isilon data collector in Data Infrastructure Insights, (DII) or OnCommand Insight (OCI) reports incorrect storage model data.
  • The Model field for every storage node displays the following error instead of the actual hardware model:

  Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
...
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

  • The nodeVersion field may also be blank or null.
  • The REST-based Isilon data collector (datasource type 170) is NOT affected and continues to report model data correctly.
