Cloud Classification deployment in Azure fails due to policy violation

Issue

Deploying Cloud Classification from BlueXP fails with error:
 

Error:(InvalidTemplateDeployment) The template deployment failed because of policy violation. Please see details for more information. Code: InvalidTemplateDeployment Message: The template deployment failed because of policy violation. Please see details for more information. Exception Details: (RequestDisallowedByPolicy) Resource 'Cloud-Compliance-x' was disallowed by policy.

Cause

The policy prevents the Classification VM deployment.

Solution

  • Disable the policy and re-try deployment.
  • Alternatively, deploy your own instance with the needed requirements, apply a policy exemption to its Resource Group, and use the 2nd install method:
