Issue

  • When setting up SnapMirror replication from an on-premises ONTAP cluster to a Cloud Volumes ONTAP instance, the process fails due to encryption requirements.
  • The following error is encountered when trying to enable the onboard key manager:
Error: command failed: The Onboard Key Manager is not supported for Cloud ONTAP instances.
