IP forwarding is enabled and Squid / http proxy is in use. Can these be disabled?

Answer

These are necessary components. We would not suggest disabling the proxy service (Squid) or ip forwarding. This is used to pull in all the relevant information from the mandated endpoints for transfer to CVO as needed and for autosupport relay in the other direction.
