Issue

  • SMB sync jobs were intermittently failing on specific data brokers within a Cloud Sync data broker group.
The error observed in the logs was:
[2026-05-05T05:00:34.868] [INFO] [MASTER] [0] [2100] Executing command { command: 'mount', args: [ '-t', 'cifs', '//CIFS_Server/share', 'mnt/69a6a2aa06e20exxxxxxxxx/cdde639b-6edd-4bfa-856b-yyyyyyyy_src', '-o', 'domain=WORKGROUP,vers=3.0,file_mode=0666,dir_mode=0666,iocharset=utf8,mapchars,mfsymlinks' ], timeout: 20000 }
[2026-05-05T05:00:34.975] [ERROR] [MASTER] [0] [2100] Failed to execute command mount error(13): Permission denied
  • Manual mounts using the same credentials worked on both the data broker and a Windows client.
  • The same non-working broker could successfully mount other CIFS shares when the correct domain was specified manually.
  • Other relationships were unaffacted.
