Issue

  • Data transfer between Google Cloud Platform (GCP) buckets using NetApp Cloud Sync is failing. The error log shows:

[2025-08-11T13:39:17.495][INFO][TRANSFERRER][2][3661134][Relationship ID][COPY]FAILED:source{Source Bucket}target:{Target Bucket}entry:{path: file path}size:132511179,mtimeSec:1754456726,type:'FILE'}Request is prohibited by organization's policy. vpcServiceControlsUniqueIdentifier:

  • Cloud Sync attempt to create temporary files or perform write operations on the source bucket, which can be denied by organizational policy restrictions.
