Answer

  • Only the intercluster LIF on the node hosting the target volume is used for snapmirror transfers.
  • Intercluster LIFs fail over only within the same node and cannot switch to another node.
  • If the hosting node’s LIF is down, transfers fail.
  • Recovery options: restore the LIF or relocate the volume to a node with a working LIF.
