Issue

Cloud backup SnapMirror updates to object storage fail intermittently with errors such as:
Error: code':'6619986','message':'No common Snapshot copy found between <src_svm:src_vol> and <netapp-backup:/objstore/dst_vol>
ScheduledUpdate[11:11:00]: Operation-Uuid=<ID> Group=none Operation-Cookie=0 action=Info No new Snapshot copy to transfer from source <src_svm:src_vol>
  • Scheduled SnapMirror Cloud (CBS) backups fail with the above error.
  • SnapMirror updates may show zero bytes transferred.
  • Snapshots expected to be transferred are missing or deleted.
EMS Log: 
smc.snapmir.update.fail: Snapmirror update from source volume <src_svm:src_vol> to destination volume  <netapp-backup:/objstore/dst_vol> failed with error 'No common Snapshot copy found between  between <src_svm:src_vol> and <netapp-backup:/objstore/dst_vol>'
wafl.volume.snap.autoDelete:info: Deleting Snapshot copy 'daily.2026-01-14_0010' in volume <src_svm:src_vol> to recover storage.
sm.xfer.no.new.snap:info]: SnapMirror update did not find any new Snapshot copies to transfer from the source volume '<src_svm:src_vol> 'of the relationship with relationship UUID '6xxx'
