Applies to

  • NetApp Console
  • Data Infrastructure Insights (DII)
  • SSO Federation with NetApp Support Site (NSS) accounts
  • Identity Provider (IdP)

Answer

  • No, it is not required to update the Identity Provider Certificate on NetApp Console side when using  NetApp Identity Federation access using NSS accounts.
  • It is only required to update the certificate on your Identity Provider side as NetApp only uses the metadata URL configured during initial federation setup  to route authentication requests to the IdP and IdP certificate is not stored on NetApp Platform.
