Applies to

  • Cloud Volume ONTAP
  • NetApp Console Agent

Answer

  • During the ONTAP upgrade, communication between the agent/connector and Cloud Volume ONTAP occurs through the cluster management LIF over port 80, facilitating bi-directional communication.
  • Ensure that port 80 is enabled from both side.

Additional Information

  • Port 80 is used only for image transfer during upgrade and is not required for day-to-day management once the upgrade is complete.
  • If your security policy prohibits unencrypted HTTP (port 80) in production, you may need to implement a temporary rule only for the duration of the upgrade.
