Applies to

  • Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)
  • NetApp Console
  • NetApp Agent

Issue

  • The “Add working environment” page loads indefinitely due to which we cannot discover the existing CVO's.
  • The Administration > Support > Agents page does not load, indicating that one of the agent services is unhealthy.
Relevant log output:
"cloudmanager_vector": {"status":"inactive","reason":"Failed to run GET request: failed to send GET request: Get \\"http://cloudmanager_vector:6666/health\\": dial tcp: lookup cloudmanager_vector on xxx.x.x.xx:xx: server misbehaving"}
[GeneralExceptionMapper:42] Failed to authorize agent in account: Agent 'xxxxxxxxxxxxx@clients' is not authorised in accountId 'account-xxxxxxx'

Cause

  • The NetApp Agent was not properly authorized in the NetApp Console account, resulting in failed authentication attempts.
  • One of the agent containers (‘cloudmanager_vector’) was in an inactive state.
  • These issues led to the NetApp Console being unable to load the UI and prevented discovery of Cloud Volumes ONTAP environments.

Solution

  • Reinstall the NetApp Agent software to restore agent health.
  • After reinstalling the agent, rediscover the Cloud Volumes ONTAP working environments in the NetApp Console.
