Failed to deploy NetApp Console Agent before EC2 instance creation

Issue

  • EC2 instance is not created.
  • NetApp Console Agent  deployment failed with error.

Connector failed to deploy
The connector resources finished to create but the connector did not respond.
This could be because the instance failed to start, or has no internet connectivity.

  • Following message is contained in error message :

Resource handler returned message: "You are not authorized to perform this operation.
User: arn:aws:iam.:xxx:user/yyy is not authorized to perform: ec2:CreateLaunchTemplate on resource: arn:aws:ec2:zzz:launch-template/* because no identity-based policy allows the
ec2:CreateLaunchTemplate.
