CVO upgrade is blocked by support registration status not available

Issue

  • When attempting an ONTAP upgrade from NetApp Console, a support registration prompt is displayed:

Register to NetApp support site account

Click Register fails with the following errors:

Error: Failed to register

unable to perform support registration on a system with status list(not-available)

  • The NetApp Support Site (NSS) account is already associated with the CVO and the credentials are valid.
