CVO cannot reach storage account for cloud tiering

Issue

  • After disabling public access on the storage account in Azure that is being used for cloud tiering, the CVO is failing to reach that storage account and getting the following error:

'unable to connect to storage account' 

  • Error seen in EMS logs:

Wed Oct 15 17:45:19 +0000 [cvocluster-02: wafl_junkd_exempt:object.store.unavailable:EMERGENCY]: Unable to connect to the object store"StorageAccount" from node 1b1a8bf0-7497-11f0-b110-xxxxxxxxxxxx.Reason: Access denied
