BlueXP is unable to fetch AWS VPC list information during CVO deployment wizard

Issue

  • Unable to deploy CVO HA pair on AWS using the BlueXP UI as the Cloud Manager is not able to fetch the VPC information from AWS:

"message": "An error occurred while retrieving list of VPCS with subnets: Cloud Manager cannot connect to the cloud. Verify that the Cloud Manager host has access to the internet through an internet gateway,\nproxy, or VPN connection, and check your firewall settings."

  • Error below is seen on server.log:
    UTC ERROR [Vpcs] (simplicator-akka.actor.default-dispatcher-62) [SimplicatorServerActor:291] Simplicator request to http://localhost:8080/AwsProtocol/describeVpcs?region=eu-west-1 timed out
    com.amazonaws.SdkClientException: Unable to execute HTTP request: Connect to ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com:443 [ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/10.4.20.170, ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/10.4.20.92, ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/10.4.20.21] failed: Connection refused (Connection refused)
