SVM DR resync fails when volumes were created in earlier ONTAP version

Issue

On an ONTAP 9.14.0 system, snapmirror resync of a SVM DR relationship fails with the error:
 
Resync error (Prod --> DR):
Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: One or more of the fields "-max-autosize","-size" are being set/modified. Set the values such that "-max-autosize" and "-size" should always be less than or equal to 100T.
 
Failed to apply the source Vserver configuration. Reason: Apply failed for Object: volume Method: baseline. Reason: One or more of the fields "-max-autosize","-size" are being set/modified. Set the values such that "-max-autosize" and "-size" should always be less than or equal to 100T.
