CVO Object Store Host Unresolvable copy
Alert Description
The object store server host name cannot be resolved to an IP address. The object store client cannot communicate with the object-store server without resolving to an IP address. As a result, data might be inaccessible.
Log Source and Condition logs.netapp.ems(ems.ems_message_type = \"objstore.host.unresolvable\" AND ems.cluster_vendor = \"NetApp\" AND ems.cluster_model = CDvM*)
 
  • EMS log on Cloud Volumes ONTAP has the following logs.
Sun Apr XX XX:XX:XX +0900 [XXXX-01: secd: secd.dns.server.timed.out:error]: DNS server XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX did not respond to vserver = admin Vserver within timeout interval.
Sun Apr XX XX:XX:XX +0900 [XXXX-01: secd: secd.unexpectedFailure:debug]: vserver (admin) Unexpected failure. Error: DNS forward lookup procedure failed   [2020 ms] Failed to connect to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX for DNS via Source Address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX: Operation timed out   [  2039] Entry for host-name: XXX.blob.core.windows.net not found in any of the available sources **[  2040] FAILURE: Hostname lookup failed with error: Name does not resolve
