No.
  • Once enabled, the instance can't be stopped or terminated via the API or the AWS Management Console until stop protection has been disabled.
  • Since the CVO/Mediator's instance needs to be rebooted during the Upgrade/Takeover&Giveback, it's not recommended to enable the stop protection on CVO/Mediator's instance.
