  • Both nodes receive a freeze event within a minute due to Cloud provider maintenance event

  • The first CVO node that received the freeze event attempts to halt and be taken over by the partner
  • The partner node starts to takeover, but it loses access to disks and panics due to faults in the cloud provider backend
  • Both nodes are down causing an unexpected outage
