Applies to

  • Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP
  • Ontap 9
  • BlueXP
  • SnapMirror

Issue

  • When attempting to replicate with a third new relationship while two SnapMirror transfers are ongoing , BlueXP fails with "Failed to create replication. Couldn't perform action Create Replication, because there are ongoing operations which might interfere with it: Create Replication."
  • Once both volumes complete the SnapMirror transfer, only then BlueXP allows the replication of a third volume.
  • On-prem to On-prem replication also gives similar error message, when replicating more than one volume via BlueXP
"Async Operation Error. Couldn't perform action Create Replication On Prem, because there are ongoing operations which might interfere with it: Create Replication On Prem. Retry the action after the ongoing operation is complete"
