Cloud Volumes ONTAP upgrade fails showing as non-registered but Serial Number is already registered for Support

  • NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)

Issue

When an existing user with NSS account is trying to upgrade a Working Environment from BlueXP notification:



The following error appears:

The Cloud Volumes ONTAP system has not been registered with NetApp. You must register the system before you can proceed to the upgrade.


However, under Support option we see that:

  • The serial number is shown as registered for Support.
  • Credentials show in Active status.
