NetApp Cloud Backup fails to restart initialization after the initial transfer was interrupted

  • Cloud Manager (OCCM)
  • Cloud Backup Service (CBS)

Issue

  • When backing up a volume to CBS, a snapmirror initialization transfer is interrupted.
  • The initialization is not able to be restarted, and the backup status in the "Backup & Restore" tab in Cloud Manager shows as failed.
  • The error message presented in the UI states 
    Last Transfer Error:
    Failed to restart a partially completed initialize transfer, the destination volume must be recreated.
