trident-controller log shows "Could not obtain aggregate info" error without issues

Applies to

  • Trident
  • ONTAP backend with useREST: null (ONTAP 9.15.1 or later) or useREST: true
  • Storage class with no media attributes.

Issue

Even though Trident services can be used without issues, trident-controller log shows error:

level=error msg="Could not obtain aggregate info; storage classes with physical attributes such as 'media' will not match pools on this backend: could not retrieve aggregate information." logLayer=core requestID=<REQUEST_ID> requestSource=Internal workflow="core=bootstrap"
