Applies to

  • Trident CSI Driver (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
  • NFS Volumes shared between OCP and external RHEL servers

Issue

Volumes created by OpenShift (OCP) and shared with an external RHEL server are getting unmounted automatically after the RHEL server is rebooted. This requires manual remounting of the volumes.
Additionally, export policies for the external RHEL server are sometimes removed even without a server reboot, causing the mount point to become unavailable.
