Description

Trident etcd versions (v19.04 and prior) use an etcd database located in a NetApp volume.  Trident CRD versions (v19.07 and higher) use Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRD) for Trident's metadata.  When upgrading from pre v19.04 versions to v19.07 and higher, Trident install performs a migration of the metadata from the etcd volume on the NetApp array, into Kubernetes CRDs saved in Kubernetes own etcd db.
