Trident volumes are not removed even when associated PV and PVC are properly deleted in the OpenShift cluster

Issue

When customer deletes a Trident PVC and PV from OpenShift, the trident volume is not automatically deleted

When trying to remove the trident volume, the following error is provided:

tridentctl delete volume pvc-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx -n trident
> Error: could not delete volume pvc-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx: error getting
> volumeTransaction from CRD; Unauthorized (400 Bad Request)
> command terminated with exit code 1
