Issue

  • Cannot mount a PVC based on a snapshot of an XFS filesystem PVC on the same Kubernetes node.
  • Error seen in Trident:

MountVolume.SetUp failed for volume "pvc-<PVC_name>" : rpc error: code = Internal desc = unable to mount device; mount failed: exit status 32, output: mount: /var/lib/kubelet/pods/07fea878-069d-4edd-bcaf-39b5ef7ea2c6/volumes/kubernetes.io~csi/pvc-<PVC_name>/mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/nvme0n2, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.

  • Issue not seen in Trident 25.02
