Why the update Object doesn't follow the same Object ingested ILM rule?

Answer

  • The ILM rule set up the "Advanced Filtering" for Matches All of the following Metadata like below:

  • The first ingesting object with no region can follow this ILM rule in the us-east-1 region. After finishing the object ingestion, this object has the region us-east-1.
  • The update (using vi command) same object that has the region us-east-1 does not follow the Object ingested ILM due to the metadata can not match the ILM Advanced Filtering requires "The us-east-1 filter matches objects in buckets created in the us-east-1 region and objects in buckets with no region.".
