StorageGRID E-Series Controller Firmware Upgrade Stalls "Storage controller OS does not support SANtricity​​​​​​​ OS upgrade"

Issue

When upgrading SANtricity controller firmware via the StorageGRID GUI it fails with the error message:

  • GUI Error:
    • Error: Fatal installation failure - SANtricity OS staging failed with: Failed. Storage controller OS does not support SANtricity OS upgrade due to a software issue. Contact Customer technical support.
