StorageGRID 11.6 or earlier
  • Site or node name change aren't supported in StorageGRID 11.6 and earlier.
  • Possible workarounds:
    • To decommission a online/connected site and respectively redeploy it with the desired name. For offline/disconnected site decommision, please contact your NetApp representative (Service Account Manager) to submit an FPVR (Feature Product Variance Request)
    • To change a node name, the node can be decommissioned and re-added to the GRID with the desired name via the standard decommission and expansion processes.
StorageGRID 11.7
  • Name change is implemented in StorageGRID 11.7 - the name change would be display name change only.
  • Host name can only be changed by decommissioning and expanding the node again with the proper host name.
