Description

This article describes the procedure to change provisioning password on an StorageGRID system.

Procedure

Perform the following steps if the original provisioning password is known:

  1. SSH into the Primary Admin Node.
  2. su - to log in as root (confirm there is # prompt).
  3. Create a directory in the tmp folder (example: mkdir /var/local/tmp/tmpdir)
  4. Run the change repository password command: change-repository-password /var/local/tmp/tmpdir/
  5. Enter the current provisioning password.
  6. Enter the new provisioning password.
  7. Collect a new recovery package and save it in a secure location.
