Applies to

  • Element Version 11.x
  • VMware vCenter Server 6.7.0
  • Vmware Virtual Volumes (VVols)

Issue

  • VVols are no longer accessible and hosts lose their connections following a security scan against the Element storage cluster.
  • Solidfire VASA provider service (sfvasa) goes unresponsive, per the log output from the cluster master.
  • Meanwhile, connections are still maintained to non-VVols (traditional) datastores on the cluster.
