- As the HCI upgrade procedure, the NDE version of the compute node is not going to upgrade after updating the compute node firmware, because it's included in compute bootstrap OS, which can only be updated by RTFI the compute node.
- Since compute bootstrap OS is used for booting ESXi,it's no impact for NDE versions are not matching between the existing compute nodes and storage nodes, but for scaling a new compute node to the cluster, it needs RTFI to the same NDE version(Element Software version) as the storage node which running NDE.
