Description

Best Practices on enabling multi-pathing with SolidFire volumes using OpenStack NOVA Version

Problem Signature:
The client VM hangs when attempting to mount a ElementOS/SolidFire volume with incorrect configuration.
This is a known issue with Ubuntu-16 and 18 and is fixed in version 20. The issue occurs because the IQN of the SolidFire volume becomes too long.

Current Bug: Multipathd hangs with long iscsi target names in Ubuntu 18.04
Nova database field connection_info has a dictionary which contains the field 'target_portal' (non-multipath). There are other fields as well in that dictionary.
