HCC displays 'Upgrade Error' status during compute node firmware upgrade, yet the nodes upgrade successfully

Issue

When upgrading compute node firmware in HCC, HCC displays a red banner with the error message: "An error has occurred during upgrade".

At the same time, the Status field in the Compute Firmware tab shows Upgrade Error:
