Frequent iSCSI aborts on all hosts with one host exhibiting exponentially

Issue

  • vCenter is showing iSCSI aborts on all hosts in the vCenter cluster
  • One host has an exponential amount of iSCSI aborts
  • Error in vobd.log for all hosts
    • [scsiCorrelator] 56696262399us: [esx.problem.storage.redundancy.degraded] Path redundancy to storage device naa.<device_name> degraded. Path vmhba64:<channel> is down. Affected datastores: "<datastore_name>".
  • Error in vobd.log for host with high amount of aborts
    • [iscsiCorrelator] 12253194394253us: [vob.iscsi.target.connect.error] vmhba64 @ vmk<vmkernel adapter #> failed to login to <IQN_target> because of a network connection failure.
