Unable to add SSD disk to aggregate if third party disks present in system. Error: SSD partitioning is not supported

Issue

  • When an SSD disk is added to an existing partitioned RAID group, the operation fails with the following error:

Cluster::> storage aggregate add-disks -aggregate aggr_n1 -diskcount 1 -raidgroup rg1 -simulate

Error: command failed: Failed to add disks to aggregate "aggr_n1". Reason: Unable to share disk "1.13.1".

Reason: SSD partitioning is not supported.
