Issue

  • EMS message:

HA Group Notification from node_name (BATTERY(capacity low)) NOTICE

  • One or both nodes report the same issue, cleared a few seconds later:

Fri Aug 06 10:15:39 +0200 [node_name_1: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.capLowWarn:error]: The NVMEM battery capacity is below normal (5 cycles).
Fri Aug 06 10:16:39 +0200 [node_name_1: env_mgr: callhome.battery.notice:notice]: Call home for BATTERY (capacity low) NOTICE.
Fri Aug 06 10:32:49 +0200 [node_name_1: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.capNormal:notice]: The NVMEM battery capacity is normal.

Thu Aug 05 00:02:49 +0200 [node_name_2: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.capLowWarn:error]: The NVMEM battery capacity is below normal (5 cycles).
Thu Aug 05 00:03:49 +0200 [node_name_2: env_mgr: callhome.battery.notice:notice]: Call home for BATTERY (capacity low) NOTICE.
Thu Aug 05 00:32:09 +0200 [node_name_2: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.capNormal:notice]: The NVMEM battery capacity is normal.

  • No other related errors reported.
  • A high amount of traffic can be noticed in the BMC/e0M ports. Example:
