Issue

  • ONTAP Upgrade paused, error Giveback failed
  • In some commands\logs output you might also see: partial giveback
  • In EMS.log:
[clus01: svc_queue_thread: cf.disk.inventory.mismatch:error]: Status of the disk 0n.22P2 (66313230:52101234:00253845:00000003:500A0981:00000002) has recently changed or the node (clus02) is missing the disk.
[clus01: svc_queue_thread: cf.giveback.disk.check.fail:alert]: cf giveback failed: Partner is missing disks.
[clus01: upgrademgr: upgrademgr.update.pausedErr:error]: The automated update of the cluster has been paused due to the following reason:  Node "clus01": Error: {Giveback failed.}, Action: {Use the "storage failover giveback -ofnode "clus02"" command to trigger giveback of the node "clus02".}.
