Unable to take a volume offline, no LUN operations are seen in ONTAP

Issue

  • Unable to take a volume offline and error message similar to the following is reported

vol offline: Error offlining volume "vs0:Vol01". Unable to set volume attributes for volume "Vol01" on Vserver "vs0". Reason: This volume is the source for one or more ongoing file or LUN transfers, and cannot be offlined without specifying the -force parameter.
