  • LACP configured.

Issue

  • EMS shows port having been transitioned to an inactive state, degraded interface group, but no evidence of port or link flapping on the storage side:
Tue Mar 01 06:39:46 -0500 [ClusterA-01: intr: pvif.lacp.outofsync:alert]: ifgrp a0a, port e0c cannot synchronize with the LACP aggregate.
Tue Mar 01 11:45:39 -0500 [ClusterA-01: intr: net.ifgrp.lacp.link.active:notice]: ifgrp a0a, port e0c has transitioned to the active state.
Tue Mar 01 11:48:11 -0500 [ClusterA-01: intr: net.ifgrp.lacp.link.inactive:error]: ifgrp a0a, port e0c has transitioned to an inactive state. The interface group is in a degraded state.
 
  • Discarded physical or logical interface errors or drops.
  • Show tech-support outputs show "line protocol" on the interface changing state from up to down repeatedly:
Jan 25 21:34:44.813: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface TenGigabitEthernet2/0/5, changed state to up
Jan 25 21:45:22.999: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface TenGigabitEthernet2/0/5, changed state to down
