Reboot is observed on the Brocade GEN 6 platform when customers are using CLI scripting

Issue

  • Silent Reboot is observed on the X6 platform when customers are using CLI scripting
    • Symptom is an HA Fail-Over with no reason given and no core dump.
  • Switch Hang is observed on GEN 6 switches when customers are using CLI scripting  
    • Symptom is the switch will not be reachable from SANNAV and will appear to "hang" 
    • Host traffic will still operate
    • CPU is no longer responsive and can no longer be managed until reboot
  • Trace Corruption failures are observed on GEN 6 switches when customers are using CLI scripting
    • Symptom is the core dump will fail or be incomplete and the stack trace will show a corruption in the tracing module
    • When user daemon terminates, a zero size core file will be produced.
  • This is only seen in GEN 6 Brocade Switches
