  • Brocade X6-4 Director: Two fan assemblies, non-port side exhaust or intake, for 1+1 redundancy. Each assembly contains 2 fans for a total of 4. The system requires 3 out of 4 functioning fans for operation. One fan assembly can be hot-swapped but must be replaced immediately.
  • Brocade X6-8 Director: Three fan assemblies, non-port side exhaust or intake, for 2+1 redundancy. Each assembly contains 2 fans for a total of 6. The system requires 5 out of 6 functioning fans for operation. One fan assembly can be hot-swapped but must be replaced immediately.
  • Brocade 6505: switch also comes with an option for a single hot-swappable PS unit. Failure of this power supply will bring the switch down and no led light would be seen.
