Issue

  • One of the Cisco Nexus 5596 cluster switches suddenly became completely unresponsive with no LEDs present and will not provide any response to console or SSH
  • The switch cannot be seen in the system switch ethernet show output
  • Cluster LIFs have migrated to the ports connected to the partner switch
  • Power cycling the switch does not resolve the issue
