ONTAP stops at 'arc4random: no preloaded entropy cache' after auto boot

Issue

  • While attempting to boot, the controller does not continue past arc4random: no preloaded entropy cache and the node remains indefinitely stuck with no further output:

  • The SP logs or BMC logs are collected from the node.
  • BMC event logs might indicate multiple sensors going low with power_good deasserted and CPU catastrophic errors on each boot attempt:
